2021-09-27 Goodrington – Led by Helen and Jo

Well a glorious, very bright and sunny day for the 10 of us who set out on this coastal walk. Such a contrast to the wind and rain of the day before!

We set off from the harbour where the tide was in and the boats gently bobbing. From Roundham Head the views were crystal clear and we saw our first steam train winding it’s way back to Paignton.

At Goodrington beach the beach huts were looking jolly  and colourful and some were being cleared out for the winter. Up we went onto the coastal path where we saw 2 more steam trains in all their glory. The cruisers out in the Bay looked majestic.

At Waterside we went over the road and around the main Clennon Lake where we saw a heron and swans and other water birds. We passed the Leisure Centre and on to lunch at the Inn on the Quay – good value and good grub!
